New Haven, CT - In a challenging matchup, the Lasell men's soccer team faced Albertus Magnus, ultimately losing 3-1.
The game began with Albertus Magnus taking control early, as Lorenzo Lauria scored twice in the first half, putting Lasell down 2-0 by the 22nd minute.
Despite being outshot in the first half, Lasell regrouped and made a push in the second half. Shane Previti found the back of the net in the 76th minute, narrowing the deficit to 2-1 and giving Lasell a glimmer of hope. However, Albertus Magnus responded with another goal from Lauria in the closing minutes, sealing the game at 3-1.
Lasell's defense faced a tough test, allowing 17 shots while managing only 7 of their own. Goalkeeper Antonio Centracchio recorded 3 saves over 79 minutes, while Cameron McDonough added another 10 minutes in goal. Albertus Magnus's goalkeeper duo, Luke Tomas and David Lucero, combined for 2 saves.
