Newton, MA - The Lasell Men's Soccer Team squared off with St. Joseph's (ME) in their second home game of the 2024 season.
On a hot September afternoon, the Lasers hosted the Monks for their third conference game. The Monks had a relentless attack early on as they broke through in the 10th minute with a goal by forward Gus Ford. They had a variety of other opportunities in the first half that resulted in a 4-0 deficit going into the break for the Lasers. However, the Lasers did not lay down as in the second half they got some much better looks on the offensive third of the field. In the 73rd minute, Dillon Winkelmann had a shot that glanced off the post. The Lasers also had other promising attacks that they just couldn't quite capitalize to get the momentum going to get back in it.
Up Next - The Lasers look to rebound at Nichols College on Thursday and end the week at home against Dean College on Saturday.
