Bill Mason is now in his fifth season with the Lasell men’s lacrosse program in 2019-20. He has established the Lasers as one of the top programs in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), posting a 50-18 overall record and an impressive 30-3 mark in GNAC play.

Mason has led the Lasers to a pair of the top seasons in school history. He guided the team to a 13-4 overall record in 2017, an 8-0 mark in the GNAC, and the Lasers captured their first GNAC Championship and earned their first NCAA Tournament bid. Mason led the squad to a program-best 16-2 mark in 2019, including 8-0 in the GNAC, and winning a program-record 15 games in a row before falling to Norwich in the GNAC Championship game.

Mason was named the GNAC Coach of the Year following the 2017 season. Under his direction the Lasers earned two GNAC Players of the Year, one GNAC Goalie of the Year, and two GNAC Rookies of the Year. There has been 36 Lasers who have earned GNAC post-season honors in his four seasons, and senior David Sheehan became the program's first All-American under Mason in 2019.

Prior to his arrival to Lasell, Mason spent three years as an assistant coach at Bates College. At Bates, Mason served as the men's lacrosse assistant coach and defensive coordinator. He helped lead Bates to its first winning season in over eight years, the school’s first win over a #1 ranked team and the programs first ever NCAA tournament appearance and win. Mason also coordinated all aspects of recruiting with the Bobcats, and assisted with team travel, daily practice planning, and team community service outreach

Prior to his stint at Bates, Mason returned to his Alma Mater, Western New England University, where he served as the offensive assistant and recruiting coordinator. Mason helped guide the 2012 squad to an undefeated conference season, a No. 15 rank in Division III, and an NCAA Tournament bid.

Mason was a three-year member of the Golden Bears men's lacrosse program, and won a Commonwealth Coast Conference championship during his first year in 2009.
