Newton, MA- Lasell men's basketball battled with Colby College through an electric first half, but the Mules used timely shooting and second-chance points after the break to hand the Lasers a 75–66 loss.
Lasell went toe-to-toe with Colby for nearly 40 minutes, controlling long stretches of the first half and staying within striking distance until the final minutes. The Lasers opened the night with energy and efficiency: Che Hanks set the tone early with a trio of strong finishes, Andy Madesko powered to the rim for an and-one, and Quinton Partee Jr. provided key inside scoring to push Lasell ahead. After a brief Colby run, Lasell answered immediately and the Lasers headed into the locker rooms up 38-37 at the break.
Lasell stayed within striking distance the entire second half, showcasing toughness, execution, and contributions from all over the lineup. Esmer Madesko led the Lasers with 19 points and 5 assists, scoring from all three levels while stabilizing the offense. Andy Madesko stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists, and 4 steals in a standout two-way performance. Partee Jr. continued his efficient play inside with 10 points and 6 boards, Hanks added 10. Colby was able to pull away in the final two minuets ultimately defeating Lasell 75-66
