Newton, MA - The Lasell Men's Basketball team defeated the JWU Wildcats on Tuesday by a final score of 67-51. With the win, the Lasers' seventh in a row, they now sit at 14-6 on the season and 8-1 in GNAC play. JWU is now 6-13 and 3-6.
After the Wildcats scored the first five points of the game, the Lasers went on an 11-0 run to grab the lead. After the Wildcats grabbed a brief one point lead at 12-11, the Lasers scored the next 10 points to go up nine. It was a lead that they would not surrender. They ended the half on a 12-0 run, and led at halftime 41-17.
After making two free throws to open the second half, the Lasers held their largest lead of the game at 26 points. But an 11-1 run by the Wildcats made it 44-28. But JWU was never able to get it within single digits, and the Lasers eventually won 67-51.
The Lasers had three double-digit scorers, led by Andy Madesko's 15. Right behind him were Marcus Lewis (14), and Cameron Foster-Martez (12). Madesko also led the team in both rebounds (8) and assists (4). Lewis also had eight rebounds, and Foster-Martez had seven. Foster-Martez also had five steals.
