Armin Omanovic Nominated for Geico Play of the Year

February 1, 2016 – CHICAGO – In their game against Rivier, Lasell's Armin Omanovic shoots a running half-court buzzer beater gave the Lasers a 78-75 over their opponent in their GNAC opener that is nominated for the GEICO Play of the Year, Intersport announced today.

February 1, 2016 – CHICAGO – In their game against Rivier, Lasell's Armin Omanovic shoots a running half-court buzzer beater gave the Lasers a 78-75 over their opponent in their GNAC opener that is nominated for the GEICO Play of the Year, Intersport announced today.

Each week for five weeks, four incredible college basketball plays will be nominated as the GEICO Play of the Year. Each week's winner will be determined by fan voting through the official Facebook page (facebook.com/BestofCollegeBasketball). The five finalists will compete in a week-long competition to determine the GEICO Play of the Year. The winner will be announced during the GEICO Best of College Basketball special which airs March 27 at Noon ET on CBS.

Omanovic's half-court buzzer beater is competing against three other plays from week one, including an impressive alley-oop dunk by Lebanon Valley's Andy Orr, a game-winning deep three by Mount Ida's Joey DeFillippi, and a three-quarter court game-winner by Elmira's Justin Henderson.
