Athletic Conference Preseason Men's Basketball Coaches Poll with
the Falcons of Albertus Magnus being tabbed as the favorite to win
the GNAC in a vote by the conference coaches.
The Falcons, which tallied 64 points, are coming off a 2008-09
regular season in which they finished seventh in the GNAC with a
9-9 record and 14-13 record overall, while advancing to the
conference semifinals.
Emerson earned the No. 2 spot in the coaches' poll after advancing
to the 2008-09 GNAC quarterfinals, falling to Albertus Magnus,
78-50.
Rounding out the coaches' poll, Saint Joseph's (Maine) was tabbed
as the No. 3 selection. Emmanuel and Johnson & Wales round out
the top five, while Rivier edged Norwich for the sixth spot.
Lasell, Mount Ida and Suffolk rounded out the poll in the No. 8,
No. 9, and No. 10 spots, respectively.
