Lasers Drop Tough Road Game in New Haven 91-82
New Haven, CT--The Lasers traveled to New Haven on Saturday for their first conference game of the season. Despite taking a 41-38 halftime lead, Lasell was unable to overcome a late run by Albertus Magnus and ended up on the losing end, 91-82.
New Haven, CT--The Lasers traveled to New Haven on Saturday for their first conference game of the season. Despite taking a 41-38 halftime lead, Lasell was unable to overcome a late run by Albertus Magnus and ended up on the losing end, 91-82.
The game was close throughout until late in the second half when the Falcons went on a 10-0 run, taking a 78-66 lead with 6:03 remaining. The Lasers were unable to generate enough offense in the remaining time to overcome the deficit and dropped the game to the host Falcons.
Javon Williams (Mattapan, MA) led the balanced scoring attack for Lasell putting up a team high 20 points. Charles Horton (Detroit, MI), Justin Harris (New Orleans, LA), Sean Joynes (Philadelphia, PA) and Dominik Orlow (Slupsk, Poland) also all scored in double digits with 17, 16, 12 and 11 respectively. Harris also led the team in rebounds with 8.
The men drop to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the GNAC. They will look to get back on track at home on Tuesday, December 8th, when they host GNAC opponent Norwich University at 8:00 p.m.
