Henniker, NH- The Lasers battled hard but came up short on Saturday evening, falling 0-3 to New England College.
Lasell opened the first quarter with early momentum, outshooting NEC 3–2 and earning a penalty corner, but the Pilgrims' defense held strong. From there, NEC began to control possession, firing 16 shots over the final three quarters while limiting Lasell to none.
After a scoreless first half, NEC broke through in the third quarter, finding the back of the cage twice in quick succession to seize the momentum. Despite the setback, the Lasers continued to battle, with goalkeeper McKenna Ecker making 10 key saves to keep the game in reach.
Up Next- The Lasers will look to regroup and bounce back in their next conference matchup on Wednesday October 15, at Dean College.
