FH: #6 Lasers travel to #3 Monks for GNAC Quarterfinal Matchup

The Lasell field hockey team has advanced to the GNAC tournament as the #6 seed and they will face the #3 seed St. Joseph's ME in the quarterfinal round on Saturday. This is the second matchup in four days between these two teams. On Wednesday, the Lasers won 2-1 in an overtime battle at Grellier Field. These two teams also matched up in last year's GNAC Quarterfinal with the Monks winning 4-0. In fact, this is the fourth year in a row that both these teams have played each other in the GNAC Quarterfinal. Overall, the Monks lead the series 6-1.
In their most recent matchup on Wednesday, Madison Raymond and Sheridan Blaha found their way onto the scoresheet for the Lasers. Maya Waryas had the lone goal for the Monks.
The leading goal scorer for the Lasers is Lily Stark with 22 goals. Maya Waryas leads the Monks with the same amount. Look for these two players to play a big role in the game Saturday.
