Pignone Named First GNAC Field Hockey Player of the Week

NEWTON, Mass. (9/5/17) -- The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced junior Nikki Pignone (Ipswich, Mass.) as its first field hockey player of the week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.
Pignone's three goals on Saturday helped lead the Lasers to a 10-0 victory over non-conference foe Becker College. Scoring two of her three goals in unassisted fashion within the first five minutes of the season opening victory, Pignone completed the hat-trick in 41 minutes of play.
Pignone and the Lasers head to Johnson & Wales University for their next contest on Wednesday, September 6, to open conference play at 4:00 p.m.
