Newton, Mass.-- Two Lasell College field hockey players were selected to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) All-Conference teams for the 2009 season. Tia Pratt, a junior midfielder from South Paris, Maine, was chosen as a member of the first team and Sara Jannuzzi, a junior defender from Glen, New Hampshire, was selected to the second team.
Julia Ostrowski of St. Joseph's College of Maine was selected the North Atlantic Conference Field Hockey Player of the Year in a vote by the conference coaches. The senior forward led the league with 11 goals in conference play and along with 4 assists had a hand in over half of her team's goals as the Monks finished conference play 7-0.
Bangor, ME - The Lasell College field hockey team fell at the hands of Husson University on Saturday, during the quarterfinals of the North Athletic Conference. The Lasers were defeated 4-1, closing out the 2009 season with a 7-12 record.

Following an undefeated conference regular season, St. Joseph’s College of Maine has secured the top seed in the upcoming North Atlantic Conference Field Hockey Championship. The Monks (14-3 overall, 7-0 NAC) earned a first round bye and will host a semifinal contest on Wednesday, November 4.

Nashua, NH – Sara Januzzi’s (Glen, N.H.) tip in off of a Tia Pratt (S. Paris, Maine) shot in overtime gave Lasell College a 2-1 victory over host Daniel Webster College in a regional field hockey matchup Tuesday afternoon, at Harvey Woods Field. Jannuzzi’s eighth season goal sealed the third straight victory for the Lasers, who now hold a 7-8 record.

Boston, Mass.— After playing through a scoreless tie for the first 30 minutes of tonight’s contest, Lasell’s Tia Pratt (S. Paris, ME) provided the lone goal of the game for the Lasers field hockey team, who prevailed with a 1-0 NAC victory over Simmons College.
Mansfield, Conn.—On Wednesday evening, Eastern Connecticut State University hosted the Lasell College field hockey team, defeating the Lasers 9-2. The Warriors broke their eleven game losing streak with the victory, while the Lasers record stands at 4-8 after the loss.

Nashua, NH—Concetta Nicoloro (Arlington, Mass.) scored two goals late in the second period to bring the Lasell College field hockey team past NAC challenger Rivier College on Saturday afternoon. Nicoloro’s game-winner was scored with just 15 minutes remaining to give Lasell their second consecutive NAC win. The final score of the contest was 4-1.
Waterville, ME – The Lasell College Field Hockey team picked up their first NAC win of the 2009 season over Thomas College, 3-1, on Sunday afternoon. The Lasers left Maine with a 3-6 overall record and a 1-2 NAC mark so far this season.
