Wellesley, MA- Lasell broke things open late and powered past Babson 13–7 in a game that flipped from tight to dominant over the final three innings.
Babson grabbed early momentum with a three-run fourth and added three more in the sixth to take a 6–3 lead, putting Lasell on its heels heading into the late innings. But the Lasers responded in a big way. After chipping in a run in the sixth, Lasell erupted for four runs in the eighth to reclaim control, then slammed the door with a six-run ninth to put the game out of reach.
The offense came alive across the lineup, racking up 14 hits. Tim Callahan led the charge with a 4-for-6 day, scoring twice and driving in a run, while Connor Freitas added three hits and an RBI. Calvin Sanft delivered a pair of hits and two RBIs, and Andrew Hosford came through in a big spot with three RBIs. Tyler Holt had one of the biggest swings of the day, driving in four runs, while Matthew Williams and Bobby Long each crossed the plate twice.
On the mound, Lasell pieced things together with a bullpen effort after Michael Webber went the first three innings. Derrick Dellea and Chase Curran helped stabilize things in the middle innings, and despite some traffic allowed by the staff, the defense worked around it. Lucas Stogner picked up the win with a key inning late, and Jeremy Wacker shut things down in the ninth to secure the victory.
