Ft. Pierce, FL- The Lasell University baseball team closed out their Florida trip with a loss to both Merchant Marine and Heidelberg, ending 5-3 overall for the trip.
Vs. Merchant Marine-
Lasell recorded nine hits but managed just one run in a 12–1 loss. Declan Silva led the offense with two hits and scored the team's lone run. Tyler McDonald drove in Lasell's only run, finishing with a hit and an RBI. On the mound, Chase Supan took the loss after allowing seven runs (six earned) over five innings while striking out four and walking five. Luke Descheneaux pitched the final four innings, giving up five runs on nine hits with two strikeouts. Lasell totaled nine hits and five walks in the game but stranded 12 runners on base.
Vs. Heidelberg-
Lasell totaled eight hits but fell 12–3 against Heidelberg. Tim Callahan paced the offense with a 2-for-3 performance, driving in a run and scoring once. Connor Freitas also finished with two hits, while Jeremy Angeles and Matthew Williams each recorded an RBI. Declan Silva added a hit and crossed the plate for a run, and Jonah Nielsen reached base with a walk and stole a base. On the mound, Ty Lohsen was charged with the loss after throwing three innings and allowing eight runs, with three earned. Benjamin Conlon followed in relief, pitching 2.2 innings with three strikeouts while giving up four runs, only one of which was earned. Lasell also committed two errors defensively, which helped extend innings for Heidelberg.
