BB: Lasers Open up Season With Back-to-Back Wins Against Franciscan

Game 2
Ft. Pierce, FL- The Lasell University baseball team began its season on a high note, earning two wins over Franciscan during their Florida trip.
Game 1-
The Lasers used a balanced offensive attack and timely pitching to secure an 11–9 victory, finishing with 12 hits and nine RBIs. Connor Freitas led the way offensively, going 4-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs, while Jeremy Angeles added a strong performance at the plate with two hits and two RBIs. The middle of the lineup continued to produce as Declan Silva and Braelen Silva each drove in two runs, with both also recording doubles. Robert Leyva chipped in a double and an RBI, and Bobby Long and Tim Callahan each scored twice to help keep the offense rolling. The Lasers were aggressive on the bases as well, with Tim Callahan, Connor Freitas, and Robert Leyva each stealing a base. On the mound, Benjamin Conlon earned the win after tossing 3.1 innings, allowing three runs on two hits while striking out four. Adam Marsh started the game and struck out two across two innings. Shea Caton and Will McPherson combined for the middle relief before Luke Descheneaux recorded the final out to earn the save. Despite issuing 11 walks, the Lasers pitching staff limited damage when it mattered, holding Franciscan to six hits and securing the win.
Game 2-
Ty Lohsen turned in a dominant outing on the mound, tossing a six-inning complete-game no-hitter to lead the Lasers to a 12–0 victory. Lohsen struck out eight and walked two while facing 22 batters to keep the Franciscan off the scoreboard. At the plate, Lasell scored 12 runs on seven hits. Braelen Silva led the offense, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, while Tim Callahan added a hit, RBI, and run. Declan Silva finished 1-for-2 with an RBI and two runs, Nick Nigro drove in a run, and Connor Freitas added an RBI while scoring three times and drawing two walks. Lasell stayed aggressive on the bases with stolen bases from Bobby Long, Connor Freitas, Declan Silva, and Braelen Silva, and the defense supported Lohsen's no-hit effort with just one error.
