BSB: Lasers Dominate Fisher in 6-1 Win
Newton, MA – The Lasell baseball team secured a commanding 6-1 victory over Fisher College on Saturday, improving their record to 14-7 on the season. The Lasers delivered a strong offensive performance, coupled with stellar pitching, to defeat the Falcons at Fisher's home field.
Lasell was led by a well-rounded effort at the plate, with multiple players contributing to the team's offensive output. Tim Callahan had an exceptional game, going 3-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, and two stolen bases. Pierce Clare also had a standout performance, contributing two RBIs with a key sacrifice fly and a single. Other contributors included Declan Silva and Christopher Bulk, who each collected two hits in the game.
On the mound, Lasell's pitchers were in control throughout the contest. Freshman Chase Supan earned the win, pitching six strong innings, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out eight batters. Benjamin Conlon, Shea Caton, and Luke Descheneaux each delivered a scoreless inning in relief, combining to keep Fisher off the scoreboard after the fifth inning.
The game's scoring began in the first inning when Lasell's Pierce Clare singled to center field, bringing home Declan Silva for the early 1-0 lead. In the third inning, Lasell extended their advantage with two more runs, highlighted by a sacrifice fly from Christopher Bulk. They added two additional runs in the fourth inning, with Callahan and Connor Freitas driving in runs.
Fisher's lone run came in the bottom of the fifth inning when Fernando Verde singled home Gabriel Rivera, but Lasell quickly responded with an insurance run in the sixth to seal the victory.
Up Next: The Lasers are back in action tomorrow afternoon with a conference doubleheader against Dean College.
