BSB: Callahan and Fletcher Post GNAC Weekly Honors

Newton, MA- Senior Infielder Tim Callahan was very reliable at the plate for the Lasers as the Attleboro, Mass. native amssed nine hits on 13 at-bats with six of them resulting in runners scoring. Callahan went 3-for-5 against UMass Boston with an RBI before posting a 4-for-5 outing with two RBI's while crossing the plate three times for Lasell in a narrow 9-8 win over Thiel. The senior would end the week with two doubles against Gettysburg, driving in all three runs for the Lasers in that game. He slashed for .692/.714/.846 splits while going 8-for-8 on putouts on the field.

Senior pitcher Matthew Fletcher displayed a strong outing on the mound in just 5.2 innings pitched in the Lasers' 9-8 victory as the Wethersfield, Conn. native fanned 13 batters at the plate, while only giving up two hits and a walk.
