Coscione Earns GNAC Baseball Player of the Week
NEWTON, Mass. (3/28/16) – Junior Hector Coscione (Newton, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
NEWTON, Mass. (3/28/16) – Junior Hector Coscione (Newton, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Coscione went 6-for-10 in a 3-0 week for the Lasers with four RBI's, a double, and a solo shot to left field. Coscione's first home run of the season came in a 3-2 win over Colby-Sawyer, where he batted a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate. Coscione also crossed home for three runs of his own in the 3-0 outing for the Lasers.
In double-duty action, Coscione earned his second save of the season on the hill for Lasell, to rank first among GNAC stat leaders, preserving a 4-1 victory in game one vs. Colby-Sawyer on a hitless final inning tossed.
Coscione and the Lasell baseball team will return to non-conference action on Tuesday, March 29 in a nine-inning home contest with Newbury College.
