Baseball Picked 4th in GNAC Pre-Season Coaches Poll
NEWTON, Mass. (2/28/14) - The Lasell College baseball team was selected fourth in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference pre-season coaches poll. The Lasers who finished fourth a season ago with an 8-8 mark in league play are coming off a 13-23 season. Lasell reached the GNAC Final Four by defeating Albertus Magnus in the opening round of the GNAC tournament before falling to Johnson and Wales and Suffolk in double elimination play.
Lasell opens their 2014 campaign on Saturday March 1st with a doubleheader against Worcester State in Yahapanak, NY. Lasell also hosts Newbury College before their annual trip to Fort Myers, Florida where they will play eight games between March 15th and 19th. The rest of the non-conference slate includes away games at Eastern Nazarene, Gordon, Daniel Webster, Mass. Maritime, New ENgland COllege, Nichols, and Colby-Sawyer as well as a home game against Emerson.
