Cavanagh Recognized as GNAC Baseball Player of the Week
After an outstanding week in Florida with the Lasell College baseball team, Conor Cavanagh (Quincy, MA) was honored by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) as the Player of the Week.
After an outstanding week in Florida with the Lasell College baseball team, Conor Cavanagh (Quincy, MA) was honored by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) as the baseball Player of the Week.
Cavanagh hit .414, going 12-for-29 at the plate with nine runs, 16 RBI, five doubles, one triple, and a home run in seven games during the week. He lit it up for Lasell in the second game against Bethel University leading the Lasers to a 12-10 win by going 4-for-5 at bat with two doubles, a triple and a home run, just one base hit shy of hitting for the cycle, while knocking in nine RBI in the game, setting a new Lasell single game all-time record.
This season, Cavanagh currently has 15 hits, 11 runs, 23 RBI, and seven doubles. The senior outfielder also has made 34 put outs in the field and has a .971 fielding percentage this season.
