The Viking were out to a 14-0 lead before the Lasers finally got on the board in the fifth inning. Junior Veija (Randolph, MA) singled and was then followed by back to back walks from Angelo Colucci (Stoneham, MA) and Ryan Walsh (Stoneham, MA). Veiga would then score on Matt Mahoney's (Rockland, MA) ground out to second.
Josh Sullivan (Rockland, MA), Jim Amon (Warren, NJ), and Mike Gernier (Fitchburg, MA) also had hits for the Lasers. Scott Janz (Woodridge, NJ) pitched very well in relief, going two innings, giving up one hit and with no walks.
