In 1992, Christine (Kristy) Walter was appointed to Lasell College's newly created position of Director of Athletics. Since that time, the athletic department has enjoyed tremendous growth, increasing from four varsity teams and forty student-athletes to fifteen varsity teams and over 250 student-athletes.
After guiding the athletic program through the NCAA membership process in 1995, Kristy oversaw the expansion of the department during Lasell's transition to co-education in 1998. She has played a leading role in significant improvements to the athletic program, including the addition of eight full-time staff members, the construction of Grellier Field, the renovation of Taylor Field and the updating of the fitness center.
During her tenure at Lasell, six teams have advanced to the NCAA Tournament, ten teams have been selected to participate in ECAC Tournaments and ten teams have won conference championships. Kristy's responsibilities encompass all administrative issues related to Lasell College's athletic department. Kristy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Allegheny College and a Master of Science in Sports Administration from Northeastern University.
