Bio
Nick Devito begins his third year as an assistant baseball coach at Lasell College. Nick joined the coaching staff in 2009 as the team hitting coach after graduating from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelors of Science in Sports Management.
DeVito played for two seasons at Cortland, during which time the team collected a cumulative record of 84-12 (including a school-record 38-game win streak). He was selected to the NCAA Division III New York Regional All-Tournament Team in 2007, a year that Cortland placed fourth at the NCAA Division III World Series. The following year, DeVito was honored as on the First Team All-SUNYAC and was a finalist for the ABCA/Rawlings New York Region Gold Glove Team at first base, on a team that tied for seventh at the NCAA Division III World Series.
Prior to college, DeVito was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds out of Hingham High School and played a stint with the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Coach DeVito currently resides in Hanover, Massachusetts.
