Bio

Third year head coach Kelly Stubbs brings to Lasell a diverse background dedicated to coaching, teaching and athletic administration. She has over 14 years of experience in on-court basketball instruction, six years of experience with local and national recruiting, four years of assistant coaching at the Division III level and one year of experience working in a Division I basketball office.

Coach Stubbs led the Lasers Women's Basketball team to an 8-17 overall record, and a 5-8 record in the GNAC, in her first season. During her second year, Coach Stubbs and her squad recorded a 7-18 overall and 4-8 GNAC slate, with one player earning GNAC All-Conference team honors.

Coach Stubbs has worked with Wendy Schuller, Eastern Washington Head Women's Basketball Coach, Carla Berube of Tufts University, Melissa Hart of MIT/Emerson, and Jerry Krause of Gonzaga University. She played four years of college basketball at Division I University of ME, Orono, earning a scholarship after walking on her freshman year. She recently completed her master's degree in Sports and Athletic Management from Gonzaga University.

Coach Stubbs is focused on being a coach of significance to her players. She places a strong emphasis on communication, team cohesiveness, and players' mental and physical development.
