Marcoux Announces Athletic Department Restructure
January 2, 2026
Newton, MA- Jamie Marcoux, Associate Vice President for Athletics, has announced an internal restructuring of the Lasell Athletics Department, effective immediately. The changes are intended to strengthen departmental leadership, improve operational efficiency, and continue to elevate the experience of Lasell student-athletes.
As part of the restructuring, Aaron Galletta, who has served as Head Coach of the Lasell Men's Basketball program since 2006 and the department's Engagement Officer, has been appointed Associate Athletic Director. Galletta brings nearly two decades of leadership experience, deep institutional knowledge, and a strong commitment to student-athlete development into his expanded administrative role. Galletta's additional responsibilities will include oversight of the school's growing Club Sports programs as well as sports supervision for a number of programs.
Jessica Paulin, currently the department's Compliance Officer and Head Field Hockey Coach, has been named Assistant Athletic Director/SWA. Paulin has played a vital role in ensuring adherence to NCAA and conference regulations. She will continue to oversee compliance while assuming responsibility for the Intramural and Recreation programs and serving as the department's SWA.
Head Baseball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator Billy Uberti has also been appointed Assistant Athletic Director. He has been vital to the recruitment efforts of the department and institution, working collaboratively with Admissions and supporting coaches through their recruitment endeavors. He will assume the additional responsibility of managing the athletic facilities as part of his new role.
Galletta, Paulin and Uberti's new positions will allow them to take on additional leadership responsibilities while continuing to support the department's long-term goals and strategic initiatives.
In addition to the administrative appointments, there will be a transition within the Men's and Women's Volleyball programs. Jeff Vautrin will assume the role of Director of Volleyball. He will continue to be the head coach for the men's program and will serve as an associate head coach for the women's program. This will create head coach leadership within each program while also providing continuity and support for both programs. Jesus Garcia will assume head coach responsibilities of the women's program and remain an assistant coach for the men. Vautrin will also oversee the institution's fitness center staffing.
"These changes represent an exciting step forward for Lasell Athletics," said Marcoux. "We are hopeful that this new structure will not only positively impact the way our department operates on a daily basis, but also enhance the overall student-athlete experience through strengthened leadership, communication, and support across all programs."
