Bio
During her inaugural season leading the Lasell College field hockey team, head coach Marushka Eddy guided her team to a 7-11 overall record, a spot in the NAC Championship Tournament, and coached two players onto the NAC All-Conference team. Eddy also serves as the head coach of the women's lacrosse programs at Lasell College, and was named GNAC Women's Lacrosse Coach of the Year after bringing about the team's best record to date at 9-7 overall (4-2 GNAC) in the 2009 season. Five members of Coach Eddy's 2009 women's lacrosse squad were selected to the GNAC All-Conference teams.
Prior to starting at Lasell in 2008, Eddy came most recently from SUNY Oswego, where she served two years as the head coach of the field hockey and lacrosse teams. During her time at SUNY Oswego, Eddy coached four student athletes onto the All-Conference teams. Prior to her time there, she gained valuable coaching experience at Springfield College and American International College, as well as at the high school level.
A native of Nantucket, Massachusetts, Eddy attended Plymouth State University where she was a member of the field hockey and women's lacrosse team. She had quite a successful career as a Panther, playing in 127 total games over four years. Throughout her field hockey career, Eddy recorded 20 points, 15 of which she scored during her senior year on six goals and three assists. Playing as a defender and midfielder on the lacrosse team, Eddy collected 49 caused turnovers, 9 goals, and 3 assists, for a total of 16 points overall.
Graduating in 2004, Eddy earned a B.S. in Physical & Health Education from Plymouth State, and will earn her Master's degree in Physical Education from Springfield College later this year.
Eddy is the second head coach for the Lasers field hockey team and the sixth for the women's lacrosse team. As a full time member of the athletic department, Eddy is also responsible for administrative duties when she is not in season.
