Cumberland, ME -- Lasell College had six women’s cross country athletes finish the difficult 6,000 meter NCAA New England Regional Women’s Cross Country Championship course held at Twin Brook Recreation Center in Cumberland, Maine on Saturday. Middlebury College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology tied for the team title under rainy skies, finishing with 63 team points each.

Nashua, NH—The Lasell College women’s cross country team finished in fifth place at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship hosted by Rivier College on Saturday, October 31st. Emerson College won the race with an average time of 21:54.25, earning 48 points in the 5K. Emerson’s Caprice Cappucci (Medfield, Mass.) was the first place finisher of the 88 total athletes.

Boston, Mass.—The Lasell women’s cross country team competed in the 2009 Emmanuel College Saints Invitational on Friday, October 16th, earning an 11th place ranking out of 19 total teams. A total of 146 athletes ran in the 5K meet, with the top time of 18:50.34 going to Katherine Eve of Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
