Worcester, MA—Paul Meucci (Vernon, CT) has been selected to participate in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) All-Star game on Saturday, May 1st at Clark University. The game is an annual event which showcases seniors from over thirty colleges across New England.
Meucci was a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) First Team All-Conference recipient this season, as well as a 2008 and 2009 GNAC All-Tournament Team honoree. The senior defender played two years with the Lasers having transferred to Lasell prior to his junior year. Meucci made an immediate impact on the men’s soccer program, and was named captain his senior year.
Meucci proved himself to be a great defender, playing in the center back position for Lasell, while also making himself a threat on offense when he pushed forward. The senior played in nineteen games in the 2009 season, scoring four goals for eight points along the way. He excels at challenging the opposition, winning in the majority of 50/50 balls. Meucci played in a total of 39 games with the Lasers during his two season stint.
The venue for the yearly senior event is at Clark University’s Granger Field in Worcester, Massachusetts. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. on May 1st.
