Christina Annicelli is the senior captain of the Lasell College women’s cross country team, and a four year member of the squad. The North Easton, Mass. native is very active on the Lasell College campus, aside from her athletic pursuits. Christina works for the Office of Residential Life as a Resident Advisor, while also working part-time in the college’s Brennan Library and she still finds time to put her 3.637 grade point average in English to use, serving as a English and writing tutor to her peers.
What attracted you to Lasell College?
What attracted me to Lasell College was the beautiful location, the friendly atmosphere and people, the majors they had available and the cross country team.
What do you hope to do after you graduate?
After I graduate I hope to become a middle school or high school English teacher
Has there been anything that has been a surprise to you about your experience at Lasell College?
Discovering all of the opportunities that Lasell College had to offer me have been a surprise, it’s been great being able to be a part of so many different things during my college career.
Is there anything specific you have learned Lasell College that you think will help you after you have graduated?
I have learned to have more confidence in my abilities and I have learned to think and act on my feet which will help me when I graduate. I also have more leadership skills because of my experience at Lasell.
How have your experiences as an athlete added to the learning that has occurred during your time at Lasell?
I have learned how to stay dedicated, how to help others, teach others, lead others, how to stay positive, have time management skills, and how to work as a focused team.
What was your best experience as a student-athlete at Lasell?
My best experience as a student athlete at Lasell was the welcoming nature of the cross-country team my freshman year and how that experience helped me to adjust as a freshman.
