Women's Track and Field Ends Season on High Note at MIT
Senior Meghan Missett closed out her career with one of her finest performances, finishing second in the mile and breaking her own personal record.
The Lasell College women's track and field team concluded their 2011-12 season with a strong performance at the MIT Invitational on february 11th. Senior Meghan Missett(Lowell, MA) put together one of the finest performances of her career in her last collegiate meet, kicking her way past 6 competitors in the final 400M of the mile run to take second place overall. Missett crushed her previous personal record in the mile, as her time of 5:49.65 was over 20 seconds fater than her previous PR of 6:12.4.
Sophomore Sam Peck(Woodbury, CT) broke her own school record in the 55M hurdles, while placing seventh overall in a time of 9.29 seconds. Kendal Logsdon(Palmer, MA) finished second in the 55M dash, missing breaking the Lasell College record by less than 0.3 seconds.
