Women's Lacrosse Season Completes in Semi-Finals of ECAC Tournament
MILTON, MA- In the semi-finals of the ECAC Division III New England Women’s Lacrosse Tournament on Wednesday, the Lasell College Lasers fell to the Curry College Colonels, 20-12, marking the completion of the 2011 women’s lacrosse campaign.

Lasell Selected as No. 3 Seed in ECAC DIII New England Women's Lacrosse Tournament
CENTERVILLE, MA -- After finishing the regular season with a 15-5 record, Western New England was selected as the No. 1 seed in the 2011 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III New England Women’s Lacrosse Championship. The tournament is a four-team field with the semifinal games on Wednesday and the championship game on Saturday.

Women’s Lacrosse Takes Home Three Conference Honors
Sophomore Ashley Slattery (Weymouth, MA) and freshman Britney Wuorio (Bolton, MA) received First Team All-Conference honors from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and senior Tina Canavan (Stonington, CT) made the ranks amongst the second team for the 2011 season.

Lasers Advance to GNAC Championship
NEWTON, MA- After a tightly played game, the no. 2 seeded Lasell College women’s lacrosse team scored four straight goals in the middle of the second half to put away no. 3 seed Emerson College, 18-14, on Friday afternoon in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament semi-finals. With the win the Lasers secured a spot in the GNAC Championship which will take place on Sunday, May 1st at no. 1 seeded, and regular season champion, Norwich University.

2011 GNAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament Schedule; Lasers Take No. 2 Seed
The 2011 GNAC Women’s Lacrosse Playoff pairings are now available. The reigning 2010 GNAC tournament champions, Norwich University (8-0, 8-2) clinched first place in the conference. The Cadets played an extraordinary regular season, going undefeated in conference play and only suffering two overall losses to non-conference opponents.

Four Lasers Score Hat Tricks as Lasell Topples the Saints
NEWTON, MA- Lasell College women’s lacrosse finished off the 2011 regular season prevailing 19-6 over Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent Emmanuel College today to improve their overall record to 10-5 and their GNAC slate to 7-1. The Lasers currently stand in second place in the league behind present leader Norwich University who are unbeaten at 6-0 in the conference with two games left to play. Emmanuel falls to 3-8 this season, and 2-6 in the league with one game left to play.

Framingham Breaks Lasell’s Seven-Game Win Streak with One Tick Left on the Clock
FRAMINGHAM, MA- With just one second left in regulation, Framingham State’s sophomore Louie Rijo (Salem, MA) broke a 12-all tie to defeat Lasell College women’s lacrosse, 13-12, in non-conference action at Maple Street Field on Tuesday night. The loss breaks up a seven game winning streak for the Lasers and moves them to 9-5 this season, while the Rams land at 4-6 with the win.

Lasers Defeat GNAC Preseason Favorite Emerson
NEWTON, MA- On a cold and rainy Wednesday afternoon, the Lasell College women’s lacrosse team defeated Great Northeast Athletic Conference preseason favorite Emerson College, 15-11, on Grellier Field. The Lasers took the lead 1:36 into play and never looked back as they processed their sixth straight win this season to complete the day with an 8-4 overall and a 5-1 GNAC record. Emerson slips to 3-8 this season, and 3-2 in conference action.

Lasers Easily Get Past the Monks
PORTLAND, ME – Lasell College women’s lacrosse picked up their third Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win of the season tonight with a decisive 13-6 triumph over St. Joseph’s College of Maine under the lights at Deering Memorial Stadium. The Lasers improve to 6-4 overall and 3-1 in the GNAC while the Monks step back to 3-3 overall and 0-3 in the league.

Second Half Surge Propels Lasers to Victory
DUDLEY, MA- Lasell College women’s lacrosse laced together a 10-0 second half run which lifted the Lasers to prevail 21-10 at the final buzzer against Nichols College on Monday evening at Vendetti Field. Senior Tina Canavan (Stonington, CT) produced eight points while scoring the game-winner to bring Lasell to 5-4 overall this season while the Bison dip to 1-6.

Seniors Shine on Women’s Lacrosse Senior Day
NEWTON, MA- Five of Lasell’s six senior women’s lacrosse players scored points in their Senior Day game on Saturday in a 21-2 trouncing of St. Joseph College of Connecticut. Kristin Coderre (Monson, MA), the one senior who did not score in the contest, earned the win for Lasell in net, making six saves.

Lasers Produce 15-11 GNAC Win over Mustangs
NEWTON, MA- Lasell College women’s lacrosse earned their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) triumph of the season today with a 15-11 decision over Mount Ida College. The Lasers were led by sophomore Neila Kudla (Groton, MA) and senior Chelsea Caren (Redding, CT) who scored five goals each, Caren adding two assists for a game-best seven points. Both team’s records settle at 3-4 this season after the contest and level out at 1-1 in the league.

Norwich leveled their overall record to 1-1 with the win while Lasell drops to 2-4.

Lasers Dominate AMCATS in 19-3 Victory
NEWTON, MA- Lasell College collected its first women’s lacrosse win of the season in a 19-3 defeat of Anna Maria College on Wednesday afternoon at Grellier Field. Sophomores Ashley Slattery (Weymouth, MA) and Neila Kudla (Groton, MA) had a uniform six points each in the game, on five goals and one assist apiece. Lasell stands at 1-3 this season and Anna Maria holds at 0-2.

WELLESLEY, MA- Wellesley College used a potent offense with five starters scoring four or more points to drive home a 20-5 triumph against the Lasell College women’s lacrosse team on Saturday afternoon. The Blue notched their third straight victory in as many games, while the Lasers remain without a win in the early stretch of the season, dropping to 0-3.

Hat Tricks by Caren & Slattery in Season Debut Not Enough for Women’s Lacrosse
NEWTON, MA- Chelsea Caren (Redding, CT) and Ashley Slattery (Weymouth, MA) each scored a hat trick for Lasell College today in their season debut against Westfield State University; however it was not enough to stop the Owls from taking home a 17-12 non-conference victory over the Lasers.

Emerson Tops Women's Lacrosse Pre-Season Poll
Emerson College, the winner of the 2009 GNAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship, has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse preseason favorite in a vote conducted by GNAC coaches. St. Joseph’s Maine was edged to second place by one point, while Norwich, the 2010 GNAC Champions, took third. Lasell earned a fourth place ranking, Mount Ida took 5th while Simmons College rounded out the rankings in 6th place in the 2011 preseason poll.
