Tom DeFilippo enters his seventh season as Head Coach of the Lasell College softball team this year.  Prior to being appointed head coach in 2004, DeFilippo served six years as assistant coach for the Lasers, this year marking his 11th year overall with the program.

Under the leadership of DeFilippo, the Lasers softball team has flourished, boasting the best record in program history in the 2007 season, going 27-15 and making an appearance in the ECAC post-season tournament.  DeFilippo was also honored in the 2007 season as the North Atlantic Conference Coach of the Year. 

Coach DeFilippo has been actively involved in softball for nearly 30 years as both a player and coach. He and former Head Coach, Bob McKinley,were opposing Junior Olympic team coaches and worked together at softball camps and clinics in the metro-Boston area. Coach Tom has also officiated basketball and umpired fast-pitch softball for 14 years.
