Lasers Selected as 3rd Seed in ECAC North Men's Volleyball Tournament
After the winningest season in Lasell men's volleyball history (22-15), and their first ever appearance in the NECVA Tournament, the Lasers impressive 2011 season continues on as Lasell was selected as the No. 3 seed in the ECAC Division III North Men's Volleyball Tournament.
Endicott College (23-13) took the top seed in the tournament and will host the one-day Championship on Saturday, April 9th. The Gulls will face No. 4 seed Wentworth Institute of Technology (20-10) on Saturday in the semi-final contest at 2:30 p.m. while the Lasers will match up against the No. 2 seed Newbury College (22-6) in the semi-final round at the same time.
Lasell dropped a 3-1 match against Newbury earlier this season on February 7th, falling to the Nighthawks 25-21, 19-25, 25-19, 26-24. The Nighthawks hold a 4-0 record against the Lasers over the past four years.
