On Saturday, December 5th, the Lasell College men's volleyball team braved the cold weather to get out and support the Massachusetts Special Olympics in the annual Jolly Jaunt Event.
This year's event helped raise over $90,000 to benefit Special Olympic programs throughout the Bay State. The Lasers volunteered to support over 1,200 runners that participated on the brisk December day as they ran a 5k through the streets of downtown Boston. Their enthusiasm and cheering was motivating as they stood at the finish line congratulating runners as they finished the race.
The men's volleyball team is looking forward to more volunteering opportunities in the Spring as they are planning to donate their time at Crossroads School for Children in Natick, a private school for children with autism.
