Men's Volleyball Tops Emerson, 3-0
Boston, MA- Lasell College topped Emerson College, 3-0, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference men's volleyball play on Friday evening. The Lasers made easy work of the Lions with scores of 30-9, 30-23, and 30-22.

Micah Aiu (Honolulu, HI) led the attack on the Lions for Lasell. The sophomore outside hit a .778 clip and turned 8-of-9 attacks into points. He also contributed two aces and one solo block.
Freshman outside Spencer Parker (Newington, CT) went 100% at the net, putting down seven kills. The rookie also helped out on defense with two blocks, one solo and one assisted.
Brendan McGourn (Southington, CT) was in control of dishing out helpers in the setters position for Lasell. The sophomore collected 42 assists, and also was able to put down five kills of his own.
Also making impressive swings for the visiting Lasers were Harry Strobel (Westport, CT), Alex Mill (Danville, NH), and Mike Harrington (Billerica, MA). Strobel, a freshman outside, gave Lasell seven additional kills and one block, while Mills and Harrington each contributed on 5-of-8 attacks.
Freshman defender Chris Burns (Chelmsford, MA) picked up a team-best six digs in the contest and Will Leclerc (Fairfield, CT) scooped up four digs, added four kills and four blocks for a fine all-around performance.
The Lasers return to their home court for a non-conference match with Lesley University on Monday, February 08th. The first serve will take place at 7:00 p.m.
