Coach Giovanni Viana brings professional coaching experience as well as an unparalleled passion for the game to the Lasell program. Prior to joining the Lasell program in 2011, Coach Viana coached at the University of Miami and at Canto do Rio Futebol Clube in Brazil. As a player, he played Division II soccer in the Rio de Janeiro State Championship with Canto do Rio Football Club and Serrano Football  Club. He holds a USSF National D license and is a skills coach at various Brookline Soccer travel club teams. 

He is married to his wife, Carolina, and has two young daughters, Sofia and Isabela. Coach Viana resides in the Chestnut Hill section of Newton.
