Cadets Clip Lasers in Double Overtime of GNAC Quarter Finals
NORTHFIELD, VT— After 106:51 minutes of action between Norwich University and Lasell College in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men’s Soccer Tournament Quarter Finals, the Cadets triumphed, 3-2, with a golden goal scored with just three minutes left in double overtime. The come from behind victory was claimed in dramatic fashion by Norwich on Howard Field to secure a spot in the semi finals on Thursday.

GNAC Men's Soccer 2011 Playoff Schedule Announced
Albertus Magnus secured a first place seeding in the GNAC tournament after achieving an outstanding undefeated conference record of 10-0 and an overall record of 14-2-1. The Falcons just edged St. Joseph’s College early in the season in overtime, to clinch their undefeated record.

Lasers Thwarted by Judges
WALTHAM, MA—Lasell College men’s soccer was thwarted by local rival Brandeis University on Monday night, 3-0, in non-conference competition. The win improves the Judges overall record to 10-4-1 while the Lasers complete their 2011 regular season with a 9-5-3 overall slate.

Falcons Soar Past Lasers
NEW HAVEN, CT-- The Albertus Magnus Falcons soared past Lasell College men’s soccer, 6-0, on Saturday in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. With the win, Albertus improves to 14-2-1 on the year, as well as a perfect 10-0 in the conference to earn the regular season GNAC title. In the defeat, Lasell drops to 5th in the conference at 9-4-3 overall and 5-3-2 in GNAC action.

Lasers Deliver 5-3 Win over AMCATS
NEWTON, MA- Lasell College men’s soccer delivered a 5-3 win over Anna Maria on Thursday afternoon at Grellier Field, led by a six point outing by Adam Luciano (Fairfield, CT). The Lasers record stands at 9-3-3 overall and 5-2-2 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play after the contest while the AMCATS tumble to 3-14-1, and 1-7 in the league.

Men’s Soccer One-Ups St. Joseph’s Me. on Senior Day
NEWTON, MA- During Lasell College’s 2011 Family, Friends, and Alumni Weekend and on Senior Day in front of a crowd of over 300 people, the Lasell College men’s soccer team topped St. Joseph’s College of Maine, 3-2, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action. The win bumps Lasell’s record to 8-3-3 with a 4-2-2 conference slate while the Monks slip to 9-5 and 5-3 in GNAC play.

Luciano’s Late Goal Lifts Lasell Over Rhode Island
NEWTON, MA- Adam Luciano (Fairfield, CT) scored with under ten minutes left in regulation to lift Lasell College men’s soccer over Rhode Island College, 4-3, on Wednesday night at Taylor Field. The contest featured four lead changes and three ties before Luciano’s game-winner, at 81:28. The victory broke up Lasell’s five game slide (0-3-2) and improved their record to 7-3-3. Rhode Island’s record stands at 7-6 this year.

Rival Mustangs One-Up Lasers
NEWTON, MA—In the 80th minute of play, Mount Ida College men’s soccer sophomore forward Steven MacDonald (Medford, MA) pulled the Mustangs ahead 3-2 on a head ball to break up a 2-2 stalemate and upset Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) rival Lasell College on Columbus Day.

Cadets Upset Lasers in GNAC Action
NORTHFIELD, VT- Norwich University men’s soccer erupted with four goals in the second half to upset Lasell College, 4-0, on Tuesday afternoon at Howard Field. The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) loss is the first of the season for the Lasers who land at 6-2-2 overall and 3-1-1 in the conference. The Cadets even out at 3-3 in league play while still remaining under .500 overall at 5-7 this season.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI- Johnson & Wales University overcame a 3-1 deficit late in the second half leading to a 3-3 tie against the Lasell College men’s soccer team on Saturday. The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tie left Lasell at 6-1-2 this season but still unbeaten at 3-0-1 in the conference, while Johnson & Wales lands at 3-6-1 (1-2-1 GNAC).

WORCESTER, MA—Rookie goalie Aren Moorman (Somerset, NJ) recorded his first career shutout on Wednesday night against non-conference Clark University in a 2-0 victory for Lasell College men’s soccer. Men’s Soccer Trips Up Curry on the Road
MILTON, MA- On a cold and rainy Wednesday night, the Lasell College men’s soccer team defeated Curry College, 4-1, on the road in non-conference play. Nery Guerra (Guatemala City, Gaut.) and Mike Skelton (Conway, NH) netted a pair of goals each in the contest which improved Lasell to 2-0-1 this year.

NEWTON, MA- Potsdam State men’s soccer team took the title of Kick Off Classic Champion Sunday afternoon at Taylor Field, with penalty kicks determining the 1-1 tie breaker in the tournament final against Lasell College.

Lasell, Potsdam Advance to Championship Game of Kick Off Tournament
NEWTON, MA- On first date of competition of the 2011 Lasell College men’s soccer season, the Lasers hosted the 2nd Annual Kick Off Classic on Taylor Field in front of a crowd of 300. In an outstanding Laser showing, Lasell walloped Wheelock College, 16-0, in the first game of the day, breaking the institutional team record for most goals scored in a game, while Potsdam State defeated Baruch College in the second contest by a score of 4-3. Lasell and Potsdam will face off in the Championship game tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. while Wheelock and Baruch will fight for 3rd place in the consolation game of the tournament, set to begin at noon.
