Lasell's Sherrod Wade named GNAC Rookie of the Week
Wade's career high setting performance vs. Suffolk helps earn GNAC Rookie of the Week honors.
Newton, MA - Lasell College freshmen Sherrod Wade(College Park, GA) was named the GNAC Rookie of the Week for the week of January 30th. Wade averaged 12.8 points and 7.0 rebounds in three contests on the week, helping the Lasers to a GNAC win vs. Anna Maria College.
Wade shot 13-30 from the field, including 4-9 from three point range and 8-12 from the free throw line. Against Suffolk University of January 26th, Wade tallied a career high 20 points, while also tying his career high with 9 rebounds.
Wade will look to continue his strong play in the second half of the season, when the Lasers travel to Rivier on Thursday February 2nd. In his last appearance versus the Raiders he helped Lasell to a 71-52 victory by scoring 12 points and pulling down 9 rebounds.
