Women's Soccer is Headed to Middlebury for First Round of the NCAAs
The Lasell College Women's Soccer Team won their second consecutive GNAC championship this past weekend, with a 2-1 victory over Suffolk University. The Lasers entered the tournament as the number one seed and improved their overall record to 16-4-1 with the victory. In 2010, the Lasers dropped a 3-0 decision to Williams College in the NCAA Tournament.
The Lasers were led in the GNAC tournament by Co-MVP’s Jessica Taylor and Elizabeth Stickley. Stickley allowed only two goals in the playoffs and has been the catalyst for the Lasers' defense all fall. Taylor scored two goals and added an assist in tournament play, including scoring the game winner for the Lasers on Saturday. She enters the NCAA Tournament 2nd on the team in scoring with 11 goals on the year.
