Previous College: Salem State '93

Daestrela joins the Lasell men's soccer staff with a plethora of coaching experience. Daestrela has coached club, high school, and private high school, and has won state championships at all three levels. In addition, Daestrela has coached for the Massachusetts Olympic Development program. 

Deastrela is currently the boys 2003's head coach, boys director for New England Rush FC, and the Rush FC Girls 1999's National head coach. In 2012, he was voted high school Division III coach of the year.

A native of France, Daestrela played for the French Regional Team until the age of 12  before coming to the United States, where he continued his soccer career at Cambridge Rindge and Latin, Old Dominion University, Salem State University, and the LASA professional league.

In '93, Daestrela received a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine from Salem State, and did his internship at Harvard University. Daestrela currently owns a personal training and strength and conditioning company.
