Billy Uberti returns to the Lasell baseball team, this time as a first year assistant coach. Uberti is a lifetime resident of Newton Mass., where in 2009 he received the Bill Hamill award (most outstanding high school baseball player in the city). He attended Lasell College in 2010 where he was a four-year starter. During his junior and senior years, Uberti received GNAC all-conference recognition and captained the team. He currently plays summer baseball in the Yawkey Baseball League where he has won three consecutive gold gloves, and in the summer of 2014 won the batting title hitting .507. Uberti graduated from Lasell College in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Managment. 

Following graduating, Uberti was awarded the opportunity of playing professional baseball in Australia after excelling in his summer baseball league, winning the batting title and a gold glove. The Newton, Mass. native played for the Breakthrough Bandits out of Cairns, who are the minor league affiliates of the Brisbane Bandits of the Australian Baseball League. Uberti is the first Lasell baseball player to sign a professional sporting contract.
