Chris Troyanos Honored by GNAC
Troyanos (far right) was honored as the GNAC Athletic Trainer of the Year at the GNAC Professional Development Seminar on August 8th.
Lasell College Head Athletic Trainer, Chris Troyanos was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Athletic Trainer of the Year for the 2011-12 academic year. Troyanos was honored by his counterparts within the GNAC for his high quality of care for the Lasell student-athletes as well as those visiting student-athletes from other institutions. The primary athletic trainer for men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse and women’s basketball, Troyanos also serves as the medical coordinator for the Boston Marathon a position he has held for the last 25 years.
“I’m honored to receive this award from the GNAC. Anytime your peers recognize you for doing your job well it is extremely gratifying because they understand the demands of athletic training. I thoroughly enjoyed working with our teams this past year at Lasell, and am looking forward to another great year.”
Troyanos was honored along with Athletic Director of the Year, Brian Curtin of St. Joseph’s College of Maine and Sports Information Director of the Year, Kristen DeCarli of Albertus Magnus College at the GNAC Professional Development Seminar on August 8th.
